Cillizza listed several problems for Biden and then suggested the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cnn.com\/2022\/04\/20\/politics\/biden-mask-mandate-approval-rating\/index.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">following<\/a>:<\/p>\n<div class=\"zn-body__paragraph\" data-paragraph-id=\"paragraph_A24AB18B-052F-82ED-DA47-471C9B73DF87\" data-act-id=\"paragraph_7\"><em>All of this comes as Biden is at or near his low ebb in terms of job approval during his term. In <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cnn.com\/2022\/04\/14\/politics\/biden-approval-rating-polls\/index.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">CNN&#8217;s latest poll of polls<\/a> &#8212; an average of the last four national polls &#8212; Biden&#8217;s approval rating is at just 39% among Americans, with his disapproval at 55%.<\/em><\/div>\n<div class=\"zn-body__paragraph\" data-paragraph-id=\"paragraph_30AAEB57-73C1-264A-E6A7-471E6B3AD487\" data-act-id=\"paragraph_8\"><em>In short: Biden didn&#8217;t have a lot of goodwill left with the public before this week. But the conflicting messages coming out of the White House &#8212; and the broader Democratic Party &#8212; make it look like there is no plan to turn things around in advance of the midterm elections, which are now just over 200 days off.<\/em><\/div>\n<div class=\"zn-body__paragraph\" data-paragraph-id=\"paragraph_D2C95977-616E-AC38-5C0F-472368E39BDB\" data-act-id=\"paragraph_9\"><em>Perhaps in an attempt to address this sense of a lack of direction, Biden put out a series of tweets Wednesday morning blaming inflation on Covid-19 and the Russian invasion of Ukraine and urging Congress to take action. &#8220;I&#8217;ve called on Congress to move immediately to lower the cost of families&#8217; utility bills, prescription drugs, and more \u2014 while lowering the deficit to reduce inflationary pressure,&#8221; <\/em><a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/POTUS\/status\/1516752535364812810\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><em>Biden tweeted.<\/em><\/a><\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Kellyanne Conway doesn&#8217;t hold back when it&#8217;s time for her to discuss President Joe Biden&#8217;s biggest potential liability.
