Kinaya Willis, the 25-year-old daughter of Fulton County District Attorney Fani Willis, was recently arrested in Tyrone, Georgia. She was stopped by police on August 24 for using her cellphone while driving. During the stop, officers discovered that her license had been suspended. Kinaya, who is pregnant, was taken to the Fayette County Jail and later released. She is scheduled to appear in court on October 24, facing misdemeanor charges of driving with a revoked or suspended license.
Fani Willis has been in the news quite a bit with her anti-Trump persona and her love story dilemma with Nathan Wade, but this time the story is no longer focused on the embattled district attorney. Trending Politics reported more information on the arrest of Kinaya Willis, saying the following in a news article:
Kinaya Willis, who is reportedly pregnant, told officers that she had been using her cellphone “due to her mother calling her related to her pregnancy,” the incident report notes. The daughter of the embattled district attorney further claimed that she was “unaware” her license had been suspended since May 13, also for allegedly driving while it had been suspended.
According to the report, Fani Willis headed to the scene herself in order to retrieve her daughter’s 2010 Nissan Altima after she was arrested. “Willis’s mother later arrived on scene to take possession of her vehicle,” the report states.
Fani Willis may want to get her people on this as fast as possible to do damage repair, because the pro-Trump audience on social media will eat this up faster than a bowl of instant noodles. Fani Willis is not very popular with anyone who supports Donald Trump, because she’s been constantly targeting him.
Fani Willis is currently involved in legal proceedings related to her role as the prosecutor in the Georgia election interference case against former President Donald Trump and others. Recently, an appeals court halted the case while it reviews a lower court’s ruling that allows Willis to remain on the case. This means that while she is not actively in court at this moment, her involvement in the case is ongoing and under judicial review.
