In an interview with Vogue, Jennifer Lawrence, the Hollywood actress, said she has “recurring nightmares” about Fox News host and Daily Caller co-founder Tucker Carlson. “This is hilarious and sad at the same time. Jennifer Lawrence admits that she has NIGHTMARES about Tucker Carlson. These people are absolute lunatics,” tweeted Robby Starbuck, who is a director and blogger.
The actress described her healing process while dealing with the political division in her family, and also talked about her “emotional” state since the Supreme Court’s decision on June 24 to overturn Roe v. Wade.
According to the interview, she spoke with her therapist about the “recurring nightmares” she’s had about Carlson. The piece read: “The 2016 election had torn open a rift in her family. Repairing it was an ongoing process. Particularly since having a baby, she had been trying to heal. She even discussed with her therapist the recurring nightmares she has about Tucker Carlson. ‘I just worked so hard in the last five years to forgive my dad and my family and try to understand: It’s different. The information they are getting is different. Their life is different.’”
She continued, saying: “I’ve tried to get over it and I really can’t. I can’t. I’m sorry I’m just unleashing, but I can’t f*ck with people who aren’t political anymore. You live in the United States of America. You have to be political. It’s too dire. Politics are killing people.”
After voters elected former President Donald Trump into office in the 2016 election, Lawrence found it to be “upsetting” for her. The country elected a “jar of mayonnaise” rather than vote for a woman president, she claimed. Then she grieved over the overturning of Roe in the case Dobbs v. Jackson Women’s Health Organization by Trump-appointed Supreme Court justices, according to the report by Daily Caller.
She told Vogue: “I don’t want to disparage my family, but I know that a lot of people are in a similar position with their families. How could you raise a daughter from birth and believe that she doesn’t deserve equality? How?”
After finding out she was pregnant in her 20s, she intended to have an abortion, as she told the magazine. Instead, she suffered a miscarriage in Montreal. Lawrence was criticized by Carlson in 2017, for a segment she did on climate change in the aftermath of tragic hurricanes and earthquakes. He said that it is always the rich and famous who are “out of touch.” Later, the actress denied this saying that never claimed Trump was responsible for the hurricanes and natural disasters.
